What we expect during the Schengen Visa interview?

After submitting your visa application form, a crucial step in the process is attending an interview with a visa officer at the consulate of the Schengen country you are applying to visit.

The primary goal of this interview is to verify the information provided in the Schengen Visa application and assess if applicants meet the necessary requirements. If you have met the requirements, there should be no cause for concern.

The visa officer aims to determine the following:

  1. Identity Verification:

    • Confirming that you are indeed who you claim to be.
  2. Financial Capability:

    • Ensuring that you have sufficient funds to support yourself during your trip.
  3. Valid and Permitted Reasons for Travel:

    • Checking that the reasons for your travel align with the permitted activities for the specific visa type.
  4. Good Character and No Criminal Intent:

    • Assessing your character and ensuring there is no criminal intent in your travel plans.
  5. Adherence to Visa Duration and Work Restrictions:

    • Confirming that you do not intend to exceed the allowed stay duration or engage in work within the Schengen Zone.

These factors play a crucial role in determining the approval of your Schengen Visa application. It's important to note that the questions, rationale, and the type of visa granted (single-entry, double-entry, or multiple-entry) are at the discretion of the visa officer.
